It struck me that on the same day that national attention was being drawn to a hate filled racist white supremacists rally in Charleston, that Jesus was uniting hearts and spreading love among all races here in Tulsa, OK. It served as a much needed and powerful reminder to me that although hatred and racism are still very much alive in our world the spirit of Christ is still marching it’s way through our nation knitting hearts together and bringing unity, and no amount of hate or rage will ever be able to stop it.
This past Saturday around 500 volunteers gathered together at Victory Church to launch out into multiple different outreaches into our community. Our particular team had a diaper drive at one of the local apartment complexes. The above picture is Jessica with some of the other ladies. While we were there the two men you see pictured at the top of this post decided to make Jesus Christ the Lord of their lives and pray the salvation prayer with us. Ms. Loretta had a prophetic word for them and ministered to them extensively. It was an amazing feeling to be able to clasp hands with them and lead them in a prayer introducing them to the author love.
When the enemy comes in like a flood, the spirit of the Lord shall raise up a standard against him. Christ is raising up His followers to condemn the darkness and to be the light. Hatred will not win. Racism will not win! LOVE WINS!
