Newfire was featured in an article on the front page of “News & Views” section in CCM Magazine!\u00a0 Where you get\u00a0 “the week’s most “it” stories in Christian music.”\u00a0 The article is entitled “Double Dose Of Newfire News.”\u00a0 Read the article on CCM Magazines website here<\/a>.\u00a0 And just in case it has been removed before you get a chance to read it there, i’ll post it here as well.\u00a0 It says,<\/p>\n

DOUBLE DOSE OF NEWFIRE NEWS<\/span><\/p>\n

“Not only is Oklahoma-bred pop duo NewFire joining FFH on tour in 2009, but co-leader Jonathan Firey just joined FFH as a permanent member. It will indeed be double duty for the blossoming star, but given his impressive vocals, it\u2019s truly a match made in harmony heaven.”<\/p>\n

Ever since CCM Mag called Jonathan a “blossoming star” we’ve been teasing him about it, and making lots of comments about his “impressive vocals.”\u00a0 Ha ha.<\/p>\n

Last week we were in . . . the cities had really weird names so i don’t actually remember the names of the places.\u00a0 Except for Joplin, MO.\u00a0 I remember that one.\u00a0 BUT, we ate at this really . . . creepy (in my opinion) restaurant that was featured on the food network on “Drive ins, diners, and dives.”\u00a0 Here is a picture of Allison with the poster singed by Guy.<\/p>\n

It was an interesting experience to say the least.\u00a0 And then this past weekend we were in Abilene and San Angelo Texas.\u00a0 It was a lot of fun.\u00a0 Here are a few pictures from that trip.<\/p>\n

(Above) This is Jon and Alli with Mark (the host of the morning show on KCRN).\u00a0 Sandy is the one in the corner of the pic that you can’t see.\u00a0 I’m obviously the one taking the picture, and Josh slept in so he wasn’t even there. . . lol.\u00a0 The studio was really cool because it was up high and the big windows overlooked the city.<\/p>\n

Ok, let me explain this part below.\u00a0 I got hired to do a poster for some upcoming shows.\u00a0 You’ll see below the version that was finally approved by FFH’s management.\u00a0 But underneath that one you’ll see how I thought the poster should’ve looked.\u00a0 Personally, I think the second design would have drawn a bigger crowd.\u00a0 But you know, whatever. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Now here is my favorite version, and the one i designed first.\u00a0 For some reason it didn’t get approved.\u00a0 Go figure.<\/p>\n
