This morning my roommate Josh and I got to lead worship for a \u201cSee You At The Pole\u201d event in Sapulpa Oklahoma. It was an elementary school and it was their first time to ever have a \u201cSee You At The Pole.\u201d It was AWESOME! We opened in prayer, then had a time of worship, and then broke up into three groups to pray for 1 of 3 things that the organizer had on her heart to pray for. They were \u201cFaculty and Staff\u201d, \u201cMilitary\u201d, and unfortunately I don\u2019t remember the third one. There were about 40 people or so there. Maybe a little over including parents and teachers.<\/p>\n
It was really special for me to get to be a part of leading worship for a \u201cSee You At The Pole\u201d event. I attended \u201cSee You at the Pole\u201d every year from middle school through high school – and then I attended even after I was out of school to video tape them. So I was very glad I got to be a part of this one as well. It is just so awesome to me that all across the country students get to gather at their SCHOOL flag pole to PRAY. In this day and age (with all the political correctness and tolerance garbage) that is a very massive thing. I am so thankful to the Lord for it. Thank you Jesus!!<\/p>\n
The lunch lady invited Josh and I inside after we were finished with the event for a hot breakfast: pancakes on a stick. It was awesome. It was my first time to be back in a school cafeteria in 4 years. I\u2019d actually missed it. We got to sit and eat with all of the elementary school students. It was a marvelous time. All of the 5th grade girls thought we were the stuff. They told us we looked like the Jonas brothers. HA! Which I hope that I don\u2019t really, but I think that coming from that age bracket it is probably a compliment. Lol.<\/p>\n
Tonight NewFire played at \u201cThat Free Thing\u201d a\u00a0SYATP after party and evangelistic event where ten different churches came together to worship. It was AWESOME as well. I had a whole lotta of fun and met some really cool folks. And I had an awesome chili dog. It was worth mentioning.
